Ron Crose
Biography
Barra is the name Ron Crose was given by his Yolgnu friends (Australian Aboriginals). It means many things to Yolgnu, but one is the westward wind. Another, is the breath of the sacred witdidj snake. With gratitude and respect, Barra’s contemporary style on the didgeridoo, or yidaki as it’s called by Yolgnu, encompasses you with feelings of another world and time. His quiver of didgeridoos range from 1 – 3 meters with a multitude of musical keys.
There is a mystery that hovers around the ancient sounds of the didgeridoo. According to Australian Aboriginals, the instrument dates back 40,000 + years and has been played, bridging the physical world with our ancestors, traditionally for ceremony, since as long as they can remember.
As Ron plays, you can see why he has earned respect among the didgeridoo and world music communities for his gift of playing, support, and love for sharing this sacred instrument. Performing on both national and local television, he has also been seen playing music festivals, radio, joining the stage or studio with a multitude of musicians, or sharing his knowledge in workshops or private classes.

11-11-11 Arkansas Earth-Keeper
What a great show of love and intention at this years Earth-Keeper event in Little Rock. Fred Mitchim and I had a great time performing throughout weekend. I even had the privilege of playing didge for Max, the ancient Mayan Skull. James Tyberonn puts on a great conference, always with a convergence of good energy and amazing people, but I think it's official, the 'keepers' want a dance party next year. Sometimes in our efforts to be a "better" or more "enlightened" person, we have to take time to celebrate our heres and nows. Shake our bones! You've come ...
